House of Umi is hiring for a social media intern who is:
passionate about holistic wellness and social justice in communities of color
passionate about the House of Umi brand and excited about reaching more people with our work
already knowledgeable about social media marketing OR who is genuinely interested in learning more about social media marketing
enjoys working on the computer in content creation, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, and blog posting
innovative, has unique ideas that they can contribute to the team, and who desires to help our systems run smoothly
creative and has an eye for post formatting and creating beautiful graphics
capable of getting to know the voice of our brand intimately so that they can create content based upon our work
self-directed and self-motivated: meaning you can be responsible for your own project management and stay on schedule with your tasks
communicative, but also a problem solver: you seek solutions first before asking questions, but understand that questions are always welcome if you need support
ready to gain experience in social media marketing and produce a quality of work that they are proud of
This is an educational, unpaid internship. The position is remote (work from home). It will start around 3-5 hours per week. We are looking for someone who can follow a consistent posting schedule and manage their own time. Training will be provided. You will also receive 10% off of all of our products and services. This discount may increase with great performance.
